Money deducted but form not submitted? Don’t panic, read the guidelines below.

Is the Last Date Today or Tomorrow?

If your payment is stuck in “Processing” and the last date of the form is within 24-48 hours, DO NOT WAIT FOR IT TO UPDATE. Make the payment again and submit your final document.

Your career and 1 year of hard work is far more valuable than ₹100 or ₹150.

(If multiple payments are successful, the bank gateway automatically refunds the extra duplicate amount to your bank account in 7-10 days.)

Status shows “Pending”

Your money was deducted from your account, but the official recruitment portal still shows “Fee Not Paid” or “Pending”. This happens when the bank server fails to send a success response to the website server.

Fix: Wait for exactly 24 to 48 working hours. Check your application status again. Most boards auto-update it.

Transaction Failed

The screen clearly showed “Transaction Failed”, but you received an SMS from your bank saying the amount has been debited. Since the transaction failed at the gateway, the portal will not accept it.

Fix: You must initiate a new payment to complete your form. The deducted amount will bounce back to your account automatically.

Double Payment Refund

Out of panic, you paid the application fee two times, and both transactions were successful. Will the government keep both fees?

Fix: No. Recruitment boards have a strict policy. If 2 payments match the same Registration ID, the duplicate fee is refunded to the original payment method within 10-15 working days.

Money Not Refunded Yet?

It has been more than 15 days since your failed transaction or double payment, and the money has still not been credited back to your bank account or UPI wallet.

Fix: Go to your bank branch or call their customer care. Provide them the UTR / Transaction Reference Number from your SMS. They will raise a chargeback dispute.
